I am intrigued by images and the stories behind them. Many of these images I purchased at estate sales, others are family photos. Whether they are family photos or other peoples photos, my hobby is to research where, when, and who is the images.

One more of Tatiana Bushmakin.  Tatiana was born in 1908 in Machouli (now Manzhouli), China, and later lived in Harbin, China where there was a large population of Russian refugees for the revolution.  She immigrated to the US in 1928, arriving in Seattle.  Tatiana married Alexey Petroff in 1930.  By 1935 Tatiana and Alexey had returned to China.  By 1937, they had gone their separate ways.  Alexey had returned to Seattle, and Tatiana had moved to Shanghai, most likely to try to avoid the advancing Japanese.  Tatiana sued for divorce from Alexey just as the Japanese occupied Shanghai.  Except for one brief mention in an INS file, Tatiana’s trail vanishes into the mists of time.
